About us
Two hosts, three cottages and one quiet estuary.
We are Sam and Jo. We restored these cottages one winter at a time, and we still look after every stay ourselves. Every detail here is sample text: swap in your own.
Who we are
Sam grew up on the estuary. Jo moved here for the light and stayed.
We live five minutes up the road, so help is never far away.
We meet most guests on their first evening, with tea and a map.
Why we let direct
Booking with us means no platform fees on top of your rate.
You talk to the people who clean, fix and stock the cottages.
So we can say yes to late check-outs, early arrivals and dogs.
Getting here by car
Follow signs for Sampleton Quay from the main road.
Estuary Road is the last turning before the harbour.
For sat nav, use SA1 2MP, then follow the lane to the end.
By train and bus
The nearest station is Sampleton, four miles inland.
Bus 21 stops at the quay every hour until 6pm.
Tell us your train time and we can usually collect you.
Parking and charging
Each cottage has two spaces at the end of the lane.
There is a car charger by The Boathouse: ask us for the card.
Please do not park on the quay. The tide reaches it.
Get in touch
We answer every message within a day, usually much sooner.
